Freedom Upon an Open Plain

Freedom Upon an Open Plain

Old skunk, satisfied,
Shambles onto an open plain.

Young owl, enthusiastic,
descends to fulfill their shared desire.

They know nothing of winners.
They know nothing of losers.

And so suffer not the anguish of such false notions.

For once again, skunk will become owl,
And owl will become skunk,

Without distinction or delusion,

Upon the open plain.
